1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using More Handwriting services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

More Handwriting provides AI-powered and rule-based handwriting assessment tools:

• Starter (Ages 2–3½): AI assessment of early writing readiness based on drawing-writing differentiation research
• Scan (Ages 7+): Rule-based handwriting quality screening that identifies potential indicators of learning differences
• Insight (Ages 7+): Comprehensive handwriting analysis designed to replicate occupational therapy-level assessment

3. User Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service
• You must be a parent, guardian, educator or healthcare professional authorised to upload children's handwriting samples
• You confirm you have appropriate consent to upload and assess any child's work

4. Account Registration (Scan & Insight Only)

• Starter requires no account - assessments are processed instantly
• Scan and Insight will offer optional accounts for progress tracking
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• You may not share account credentials with others

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Current Pricing

• Starter: £20 per assessment
• Scan: £40 per assessment (upon launch)
• Insight: £80 per assessment (upon launch)

5.2 Payment Terms

• All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable
• Payment is required before assessment processing
• Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

5.3 Refund Policy

• Refunds are available within 7 days if the assessment fails to process due to technical error on our end
• No refunds for completed assessments unless required by law
• If you are dissatisfied with results quality, contact us at contact@morehandwriting.co.uk - we may offer a complimentary reassessment at our discretion

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, algorithms, assessment frameworks, reports and branding, is owned by More Handwriting and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

• You retain ownership of all handwriting samples you upload
• By uploading samples, you grant us a licence to process them for providing assessment services
• We may use anonymised, aggregated data to improve our algorithms
• We will never publish or share identifiable children's work without explicit consent

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload samples without appropriate consent from parents/guardians
• Use the Service to harm, abuse or violate the privacy of children
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy our algorithms
• Upload malicious code or attempt to hack the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Misrepresent assessment results as formal diagnoses
• Share account credentials or assessments purchased by others

8. Limitations and Disclaimers

8.2 Accuracy Limitations

• Assessment quality depends on sample quality (lighting, clarity, angle)
• AI assessments may produce errors or unexpected results
• Results should be considered alongside other developmental observations
• We make no guarantees about specific outcomes or improvement

8.3 Service Availability

• We strive for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• More Handwriting is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific assessment in question
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on assessment results
• We are not liable for any harm resulting from third-party services (payment processors, hosting, etc.)

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Professional Advice Disclaimer

More Handwriting does not provide medical, psychological or educational advice. Our assessments are screening tools. Always:

• Consult qualified professionals for diagnosis and intervention
• Seek occupational therapy assessment if concerned about handwriting difficulties
• Discuss results with your child's teacher or SENCO
• Follow evidence-based interventions recommended by qualified professionals

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

For Starter assessments, we retain your report and email address for 7 days to support any refund requests, after which this data is permanently deleted.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms
• Refuse service to anyone at our discretion
• Discontinue the Service with 60 days' notice

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@morehandwriting.co.uk.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will:

• Notify users of material changes via email (if you have an account)
• Post prominent notice on our website
• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and More Handwriting regarding use of the Service.
